Yes, it is canon that Waluigi likes Daisy. I'm a nerd and I was on the mario wiki, and I saw something, I can't remember what it was, like the mkdd character list or smp, but it was showing all the pair names and Waluigi & Daisy were "Unlikely Date."
Daisy, however, is dating Luigi. This is mentioned in a few spots, the big one being in the mk8dx dlc track "Wii Daisy Circuit," where it's a statue of Luigi & Daisy together.

thx @YoshiLOVER, I will definitely be using some of these songs and some of these races, but certain races I have set in my mind, you know the ones saying like "Hotel Hazard" and "Backdoor Blitz" those are paying a tribute to my favorite video game. Plus I already have a Rainbow Road locked in my head.

In my opinion I think 3DS Rainbow Road is one of, if not, the worst rainbow road in the whole series. For one, it doesn't even feel like a rainbow road, they're meant to be this big final thing with constant twists and turns you never know what to expect next, and this just goes completely against that, feeling like a relaxing trip through space which it's NOT supposed to be!!! If they changed to a grassy like level and put it in the flower cup, it'd fit right in! Plus why call it rainbow road if a decent chunk of it isn't on the rainbow, there's moon and saturn parts which I don't get the point of, also erm actually saturns rings of made of like rocks and stuff so we shouldn't be able to drive on it.
So yeah I don't like 3DS Rainbow Road, I think the Wii and GameCube versions are better because they feel like what a rainbow road should be.
The 8DX version is even worse because it doesn't look like a rainbow, it looks more blue than anything, and also and anti-grav doesn't feel right.

I can't really see your point with this one. I feel like the aim of the track is for it to be a planetary adventure through space which it absolutely nails. It has some difficulty without being balls hard and while the MK8DX version is certainly worse it is still a banger. Also how is it worse than N64 Rainbow Road? That thing is terrible.
I swear if anyone else says the road is too blue again for the 8DX rendition of 7's rainbow road i am going to lose it

That n64 thing makes me sad because both on 64 and 8DX the n64 rr is my favorite. Plus it’s amazing for drifting
Then this whole thing makes me sad because in very close second to 64 is 3ds. I’m not discriminating on your opinion; in fact I follow you all the way, it’s just that I like it for all the reasons you said you didn’t. And also the thing with saturn’s rings is just a neat design choice

So those of you that play my cups know that I have made a MK8DX multicup as my first mkpc project. Well play it while you can because I am now working on a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe x Mario Kart World, being 8dx’s races but world’s gameplay. Note this will not be out for a while, I still haven’t started on the dlc on my paper, but the base game is almost ready, just gotta finish Knockout Tour.
