Might as well throw my 2 cents in on this. Obviously I'm not a mod so I can't add this, but always nice to have a second opinion.
Off the top of my head they don't prominently feature as obstacles in any track.
Already in the game, at least in quick mode.
Because Figure-8-Circuit and Mario Circuit share the same music theme.
Same goes for Waluigi Pinball and Wario Stadium.

Speaking of making backgrounds, I kinda wish we could make our own custom backgrounds as one large image, similar to making character sprites.

Thx for the aclaration on DS Mario CIrcuit. When I refer to the YOshis, in 3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon, there is a large stand on the left side next to the start line. There are also Shy GUys.
