First of all - don't copy and paste the same frame multiple times, that's just going to needlessly increase file size by ALOT.
I usually export whatever I'm making as a gif with my drawing program (Firealpaca) and then I use this really goated website called ezgif.com where I edit the duration of each frame.
As for the framerate, you can really do how many frames you want and it'll be fine (Spirit Town by Senko only has like 3 frames and it still looks good) but the more frames you have will naturally increase both time needed to make it and file size. For this track though, I have 9 frames going inbetween the beginnning and end position at 10 fps.

hey, question: when making a sunsetting gif for a background, how many frames are preferred for when you make a sunset gif (like, how many frames before the background sunsets, and how many FPS for the gif to define the speed?)
