You dont get lap counts doing that in MK64. Only doing the first part of it (from the first to second crossings) counts the lap.

I went through the whole train route and I didn't get a lap count. Oh and also Bullet Bills, Mega Mushrooms, and stars make lights go bye bye.

They are the piranha plant behavior so they can be animated. This has a side effect of making you spin out.

Update: Fixed a bug where the CPU's were too easy. Also added an item box on the train path so you have a reason to go there.
